MISINFORMATION SPREADING

It has come to the attention of the Chadderton and Werneth Neighbourhood Policing Team that mis-information is being circulated on the Chadderton Neighbourhood Watch Facebook Group regarding Police officers fining people last night (07/07/2026) in Coalshaw Green Park for dog walking relating matters. 

This is completely false information. This activity did not take place and it is very unclear as to how this has come about. Two of the police staff present in the park were PCSO's. They were engaging with local youths in the park with the council community safety team and youth services to reduce ASB and re-direct the youths.

Nobody received any fines.
